First Saturday of the Month
The South Gippsland Farmers' Market at Koonwarra
First Sunday of the Month
Gisborne Farm & Produce Market, Hamilton St., in the centre of town, 9am - 1pm
Review: This market has an eclectic mix of pet products, jams and chutneys, breads, honeys, oils, crafts and cut flowers. As a farmer's market, the range of farm produce is, however, quite limited. The day we were there, the small stall selling fresh Gozleme (Turkish savoury crepes) was a very tasty compensation for the limited range of farm produce available.

Yarra Valley Regional Farmers Market from 9:00am - 2:00pm
Review:The Yarra Valley Regional Farmers Market is a large market, with many stalls selling "fresh seasonal fruit, juices and vegetables, locally baked bread, biscuits, pies and fudge, the best jams and preserves, cheeses, coffee, beer, pasta, locally grown flowers, olives, eggs, honey, meat and much more." This description is surely technically correct, but it isn't the place to go to get your fresh or organic loca l produce. The emphasis is on the secondary products, not the primary. Certainly an entertaining morning, but not for those looking for fresh primary produce.
